We never sell / rent or give out personal information about our visitors to third parties. We do not collect personal information about our visitors. We get to know names, email addresses, etc of our visitors only if they chose to contact us and give us that information. Even when they do so, we never sell / rent or give out such information.

As is the case with most other websites, our server collects data in log files. These files may contain information like the IP (Internet Protocol) address from which the visitor accessed our website, the ISP (Internet Service Provider) they use, the browser used to access our site (for example, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc), the date and time of the visit to our site, the pages viewed, etc.

We may also choose to use third party web analytics services to gain a better understanding of user behavior, web traffic to our site, etc. Again, no personally identifiable information about visitors is collected by any such services we may use.

Cookies and web beacons

This website uses cookies to store information on your computer. Cookies are small text files that generally contain alphanumeric character strings. This website also uses web beacons, which are small pieces of of HTML code present on web pages. This code is used to display one or more tiny images on the web page. Such images / graphics are usually invisible because of their small size.

We use third party advertisements on our website. Many of these advertisers make use of cookies and web beacons when they serve advertisements on our site. These technologies send information about the visitor to the advertiser -- information such as the visitor's IP address, her ISP, the browser used, whether the visitor has Flash installed, etc. Some of this information may be used for geotargeting purposes. Geotargeting allows advertisers to precision-target their advertisements. For instance, it allows them to show Los Angeles real estate advertisements to visitors from Los Angeles (and to avoid showing Los Angeles real estate advertisements to someone who is accessing the site from say, New York). This type of information is also used target specific types of advertisements to visitors. For example, someone who visits a lot of fishing related sites may be shown advertisements related to fishing.

It is possible to disable our cookies or third party cookies from advertisers. This can be done by managing your browser preferences. Doing so may, however, affect your ability to interact with our website (and other sites across the Internet). For example, you may visit a forum frequently and may have set a preference to be automatically logged in when you visit that forum. If you have cookies disabled, you may no longer be automatically logged in when you visit.

Interest-based advertising from Google.com

We utilize third party advertisements from Google.com on our site. Some advertisements served by them may fall under the category of interest-based advertising.

In general, interest-based advertising allows advertisers to target advertisements to users based on their interests as revealed by the user's Internet browsing patterns and behaviors. Interest-based advertising also takes into account the user's visits to advertiser websites in order to serve advertisements that are targeted to their interests.

For instance, if you visit several websites (in Google's advertising network) about canoeing, you may be deemed to be a canoeing enthusiast and consequently may be shown advertisements related to canoeing. Further, if you visit an advertiser website about canoeing products or services, your browsing and / or purchase behavior on that website may serve as a trigger for canoeing advertisements.

It is possible for you to edit their interest categories by going to the Ads Preferences Manager. (http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/)

Please note that personally identifiable information is not collected or used in serving interest-based advertisements. In other words, information such as your name, telephone number, social security number, etc is not collected or used.

When a visitor comes to our site and views a page containing Google's advertisements or clicks on one of those advertisements, Google may save a cookie on the visitor's computer. They make use of the DoubleClick DART cookie (http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/faq.aspx). The DART cookie allows Google to serve advertisements based on that person's visit to our website and to other websites across the Internet. You can choose to opt out of the use of the DART cookie by going to Google's Privacy Center. (http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html)
